STROL Privacy Notice
Updated 31 October 2026 · Early access
About this notice
STROL is operated by TECHTON SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES. This notice describes the STROL Android early-access trial. The new early-access build has no ads and does not start the AdMob or User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDKs. Earlier private-test builds may still display sample test ads. Sign in with a verified Google account. Signing in does not grant access to another person’s store.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@techtonsoftware.com. Do not email passwords, biometric information or full payment account credentials.
Information used to provide STROL
Sign-in and access: Google provides a verified account identifier, email address and display name. STROL stores account and session information to authenticate you, apply store membership and permissions. STROL does not receive your Google password.
Store data: STROL stores the business/store names, membership details, permissions, product and service records, categories, custom fields, prices, stock changes, orders, bookings, deliveries and other information you enter. Uploaded photos, activity notes and before/after activity history are included. Records can contain personal information if you enter it.
Offline use: the app keeps local records, photos, pending changes, session and preference information on your device. Online synchronization sends relevant records and changes to the service. A locally saved change may remain pending until synchronization succeeds.
Subscriptions and payment review: the service stores selected plans, amounts, dates, payment requests, uploaded receipt images and verification decisions. Receipt images can include names, transaction references and financial details. An authorized platform operator reviews the receipt and verifies the actual bank transaction; uploading an image alone does not verify payment. Avoid including unrelated sensitive information.
Security: network requests expose connection information such as IP addresses to the hosting provider. Authentication rate limiting uses a hashed IP-derived key. Account identifiers, timestamps and activity history help enforce access, handle retries and investigate errors or misuse.
Who receives information
Cloudflare hosts the API and D1 database used for synchronized records, uploaded images, identity/session records and subscription evidence. Data sent to the API travels over HTTPS.
Store owners and members receive information allowed by their store permissions. Authorized service operators can access information needed to run the service and review payments. Use care when entering information that other authorized store members can see.
Google processes sign-in information under its own privacy policy. Earlier private-test builds that run sample ads may also use Google AdMob and UMP as described below; the new early-access build does not start those ad SDKs. Providers may process data outside your country under their own arrangements.
Advertising and privacy choices
The new STROL early-access build has no ads and does not initialize AdMob or UMP. Live advertising is not enabled. Google sign-in remains separate from advertising.
Earlier retained private-test builds may still display Google sample test ads and run AdMob or UMP. When those SDKs run, Google may receive IP addresses, approximate location, app/ad interactions, diagnostics and device or account identifiers, including an advertising ID when available, for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Test ads should not be assumed to send no device data. Those builds use UMP checks and, where available, an Ad privacy choices control; Android also provides advertising ID controls. Store records, product photos, activity notes and payment receipts are not supplied as ad targeting input.
Before any future live advertising, we will update this notice and provide applicable privacy information and choices. This notice does not itself collect advertising consent.
Device lock and biometric information
STROL uses Android’s system authentication prompt for supported fingerprint or device screen-lock checks. STROL receives the authentication result; it does not read or store fingerprint templates, your device PIN or your device password. Device-lock enrollment and biometric handling remain with Android and the device.
Retention and deletion
Store records and activity history remain available while the store is retained. Editing, archiving or signing out does not erase the server’s prior activity history or subscription evidence.
A store owner can use the existing store Delete action and its confirmation to permanently remove that store’s synchronized records, media, membership and activity content from the active service database. Minimal store/account identifiers and deletion timestamps remain so stale devices cannot recreate the deleted store. Other offline devices must reconnect before they can learn of the deletion. Separately exported or shared files are outside that action.
Deleting a store does not delete your Google account, STROL account or the separate subscription/payment history and receipt evidence. The current early-access app has no self-service account deletion screen and does not automatically erase that payment ledger.
Contact support@techtonsoftware.com to request access, correction or deletion of your account or other retained information. We need to verify the requester and review what can be removed, including effects on other store users and retained payment/security records. This is a support request, not an automatic erase-all operation. No fixed retention period or backup-erasure deadline is promised by the current early-access service.
Clearing local app storage removes that device’s local app copy and may lose unsynchronized work; it does not by itself delete synchronized server records. Copies in exports, recipient devices or provider backups may remain separately.
Changes and contact
This notice will be updated when data practices change, including before live advertising. The update date appears above. Send questions and privacy requests to support@techtonsoftware.com.
